Body Weight

Updated: Jan 10, 2020

. Chubby doesn't mean you're fat!
. Fat doesn't mean you're obese!
. Calling a fat person thick to make them feel beautiful instead of telling them the truth that they are the size of a couch is like an insecure person; thinking that they're overweight but in real life they're actually very skinny! People confuse chubby, thick, and obese all the time.

There should be no confusion because the differences between the three are not hard to understand. Assuming; with all the racist idiotic stereotypes exploited in the media every single year and being influenced by the "twisted" idols who run the world, on sympathetic note; maybe it can be easy for a person to get the wrong interpretation! Oh and one more thing... Almost forgot... The difference between fat shaming, speaking facts, and stating the obvious for no reason will be additionally added to my blog!

Chubby = A little chunky in certain areas and has a few small rolls of fat that are obvious but not extremely broad...

Thick = Full figured, toned, and curvy! Has a firm shape to the body with lots of detail!!!

Obese: Big as a whale! Dangerously fat! Taking up all the space and can barely move around or unable to move completely unless help is assisted

Fat shaming - Laughing at someone, destroying their confidence, and trash talking a person because of their fat weight!

Speaking facts - Bringing it to their attention at the appropriate time that they are too big, explain the health risk of being overweight, tell them you care about them or that you are concerned and do things to try to help them lose the weight or motivate them by giving them advice and words of encouragement without cutting them down and causing them to feel bad. You're warning them, being positive, and pushing them to do the right thing besides downgrading them.

Stating the obvious - When you don't insult them or help them but constantly remind them that they are fat and rub it in their face without explaining why you keep mentioning it 100 percent.

Examples Of Stating The Obvious:

"What do you think I should wear today?" I can't decide. A tank top with my short skirt or a long sleeve shirt??? Which one looks the best to you?"

You - But you're too fat to wear a short skirt or anything else that is overly revealing. It won't look sexy because your fat is poking out and it's dangling. Your weight will take the focus off of the outfit.

"My car broke down and I had to walk the rest of the way to my destination! By the time I got there I was tired as hell"

You - Well that's because you're fat. Fat people get tired quickly! Lose some weight and then it won't be an issue.

"Why did you lie about taking me out for my birthday? I made arrangements to have the whole day set up for the special occasion that you promised me and you never showed or called to tell me beforehand that you needed to cancel it. I'm very disappointed! What kind of friend leaves another friend hanging?"

You - Wanna know what else is hanging? Your big ass wiggly body. You are fat and I'm sorry for lying. It's just that something popped up.

Fat shaming vs stating the obvious is that fat shaming is verbal, mental, and emotional abuse! You're throwing shade and mortifying a person to discourage them but stating the obvious is to mention something to a person that is the truth; knowing that he or she was aware of it before you pointed it out. You're basically underlining something that is already obvious and speaking facts is stating what is publicly known/apparent to others but you give ways or do something to help fix it if it is an issue and keep a "kind hearted" attitude without saying anything disrespectful towards the matter.
