... "Stay indoors when it's ugly outdoors or else it'll become your day!" Have you ever heard of that superstition before? And what about the other one! It goes like this... "You can cook breakfast and dinner but if left uneaten; it'll kill you!" Or you can replace it'll kill you with "for nothing it will ever be!" The phrase can be said both ways but "kill" is more original!!! The first one means that if you leave the house when the weather isn't good; your day won't be good either. I've already mentioned in another post that we spiritual people see storms as the wrath of god's unhappiness! So that being said, if you go out there in the middle of his rage fit; it will sorta rub off on you and you are going to experience bad luck throughout the day! Stepping outside when it's raining, thundering, or lightning is like walking in on someone when they are crying and upset. It is a respectful thing to do to leave a sad person alone and give them some private space; until they calm down and recuperate! The second superstition means that you can put all of your effort and your confidence into something but if it isn't smooth sailing and if it's not meant to be; it will not work out. Most people; (mainly optimists, based on my observation)... believe that when something gets out of hand or too difficult and too frustrating, a person is supposed to stick it out regardless and try to make the best of it and don't give up! But from a superstitious point of view, a person should leave and find something else when one thing doesn't turn out so great because the more you continue to stay involved; the more stressed and depressed; you'll be and the more worse it'll start to get. Plus it could drive you all the way to your death in the long run; since a large amount of stress can sadly kill you. It's damaging for the health! You're never going to be able to make it better by trying to straighten it out on your own. Continuing to stay as soon as you know something is bad is like spraying perfume or cologne over spoiled food and rotten trash to make the room smell fresh; instead of taking it out and getting rid of it.
